Earnings Per Share (EPS)

valuation

Earnings per share (EPS) is a company's net profit divided by the number of outstanding shares. It indicates how much money a company makes for each share of stock. EPS is a key input for the P/E ratio and is widely used in fundamental analysis. Higher EPS generally indicates greater profitability. EPS can be reported on a trailing (past 12 months) or forward (projected) basis.
