Maximum Drawdown
technicalMaximum drawdown measures the largest peak-to-trough decline in the value of an investment before a new peak is reached. It is expressed as a percentage. For example, a maximum drawdown of -35% means the investment lost 35% from its highest point before recovering. It is one of the most important risk metrics, as it shows the worst-case historical loss an investor would have experienced.
